Whenever I feel like if eaten too much, I don’t try to diet. I play tennis instead. I admit that I am no Andy Roddick or Pete Sampras but I can play a mean game. Tennis keeps me fit and energized. After every game, I feel so refreshed and ready to take on the world.

If you want to play this sport, you need a tennis racket, at least five tennis balls, comfortable shoes and outfit. You would need another person to play tennis with you. As a beginner, you can hire a coach to train you the basic foot movements and swings. After that, you can join clubs and associations so that you can play with anyone at anytime.

Tennis can be played in different kinds of courts. Others prefer playing in clay, concrete or grass. With each court, different techniques are to be used because the ball bounces differently. Also, other surfaces are more slippery that others.

It is important that before playing a match, you should stretch your legs and arms to prevent cramping and soreness. Also, you should bring a full water bottle and a face towel to keep you comfortable especially on a hot day.
