Cheap Bar Stools
Friday, July 24th, 2009 | Standards
Bar stools were originally found only in pubs and bars where customers spend hours caressing their drinks, either moping over their troubles or pouring them out to the bartenders, or simply unwinding and relaxing. Because of their height and narrowness, these tall chairs are ideal for pubs as they come right up to the high bartender’s counter, and saved space as well.
Increasingly, however, stools are finding their ways into the homes of the patrons of the pubs. They are often used at a kitchen counter or a personal wine and liquor bar. Like most chairs, bar stools can come in several variations that you will really need to be sober to make a good choice.
Wood and metal are the most commonly used materials for bar stools. The wood versions could be varnished or painted. Metals can also be painted though some come with chrome plating. Seats can be upholstered with fabrics or, if you want something more luxurious, you can opt of leather. You will also need to decide if you want a backrest and armrest. Swivel stools, which are useful in cramped settings, are also available.
Elegant and stylish bar stools can come at hefty prices, but if you have enough patience to look for reasonable prices on the Internet, or to visit a number of stores, you can actually find cheap bar stools.
