Pearl is passionate about makeup. Ever since she went through her mother’s makeup stash when she was just eight, she was hooked. For the beach bums like me, it is the ultimate location where you can relax and enjoy nature. Beaches are so beautiful. You can feel the breeze and hear the splashing of the waves. I need to think of a plan on how to surprise my parents for their 31st year anniversary. A couple of years back, my sister and I gave them tickets for a cruise and they were ecstatic about it. Last year, we threw them a huge party at an Italian restaurant with all their friends and our relatives.
This year, I need fresh and new ideas on what to give them to make them happy. My parents are not that hard to please. You can give them anything and they will surely appreciate it. They are not materialistic that even simple things will make them smile.
I was brainstorming the other night and these are some of my ideas so far:
1. Give them an all expense paid trip to somewhere tropical like Hawaii or Asia. I know both of them will enjoy that. But as I thought about this one idea, I quickly dismissed it. I couldn’t afford it right now or maybe I’ll just pay for the tickets and they can take care of the rest.
2. I could give them separate gifts like a gold necklace for Mom and a power tool for Dad. But I don’t to give my Mom any jewelry, Dad is usually the one that gives her.
I officially ran out of ideas. But I still got a couple of months more to think about it.

Whenever I feel like if eaten too much, I don’t try to diet. I play tennis instead. I admit that I am no Andy Roddick or Pete Sampras but I can play a mean game. Tennis keeps me fit and energized. After every game, I feel so refreshed and ready to take on the world.

Some families spend their family vacations on a working farm and try their hand on collecting eggs from hens, milking the cows and riding horses. Camping in the forest is also some family’s idea of a best vacation.
In family vacations, each family member can choose any activity that he or she would like to do. They can either do it themselves while the family looks on or they can all do it together. Parents often take this opportunity to have some time alone or be with their spouse while the children love meeting new friends during these vacations.
The best family vacations are those spent with my whole family. Whenever one family member can’t make it, it just feels so incomplete. With family vacations, it’s not how much you spend or where you are going. What’s important is that the whole family gets to spend some time with each other.
